Technology is a growing and adapting part of the world and it has a very important role in the way that I teach and in the way that I use it to support my classroom.

Twitter: I keep an active twitter account where I broaden my PLC and learn through peers how to enhance my performance as a teacher. Twitter allows me to find quick articles posted by fellow teachers, librarians, and other educators.
I also hope to keep an active twitter account when I become a teacher if it is allowed in the district that I teach. Because I believe that it is a great way for students to get in touch with authors and other famous scientists. I also think that it is a great way for parents to follow quick updates and reminders from the classroom.

Smores: I like to keep parents updated and I think that smores is an awesome way to make a quick interactive multimedia flyer for parents to not only see reminders and updates but to see pictures of class work and to see their own children in the classroom.
This is an example of how I would use it to inform parents weekly https://www.smore.com/dftng
Smart Board: I've worked with smartboard a lot. I've created my own lessons in Smart Board (a lesson on If You Take a Mouse to School). I've also created smartboard lessons that went with Literacy lessons i've taught in the field. I've taken courses on Smart Board and I am pretty confident using it.
Projects: I love to incorporate technology and different multimedia projects for children to work on. It allows to be creative and they are usually very engaged while working with technology. I've used IPads with children and I've also worked on a book trailer and author study in PLC groups which I think is a great project to do before a new unit or with book clubs.
